Volunteer

There are so many reasons to volunteer with The Junction Works!

From gaining new skills or building confidence, to creating networks, meeting new people or helping the community, The Junction Works is a fantastic place to be a volunteer.

Who can volunteer with TJW?

Community Volunteering
The Junction Works greatly appreciates the committed individuals, many of whom are local residents, students and business people who volunteer their time to make a difference within their local community or within the lives of people with a disability.

There are many volunteering opportunities available within The Junction Works including running activities at one of our community centres, helping out in one of our community gardens, supporting after school and holiday programs, providing language and translation services, and administration support.

Due to the nature of our work with young people and people with a disability, we require volunteers in certain roles to pass a Police Check and Working with Children Check.

Corporate Volunteering

Help us in our Mission of "Creating new possibilities in People’s lives".

The Junction Works can assist your organisation to tailor volunteering activities that meet your needs, as well as the needs of our service recipients.

Opportunities include providing professional services; fundraising; garden make-overs at one of our service centres; helping young adults with disabilities enjoy our annual SPARK Creative Arts Festival and providing work experience opportunities for some of our disability clients who are working towards employment.

How can I volunteer?

It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3…
  1. Think about the type of volunteering you would like to do, the time commitment you can make and whether you are seeking a one-off or regular experience.

  2. Call our People and Culture Coordinator on 8777 0500 and discuss the opportunities currently available.

  3. Decide which opportunity is right for you and START VOLUNTEERING.
